After Winning the KOTB ‘Whos Gonna Take The Crate? event. I wanted to do something for my upcoming trip to NYC. In my early days as film maker Marley Marl gave me a break, a chance to work with him on project. We since built a great friendship. This project is my thank you to him.
‘We spend so much time celebrating those that are not with us. Why not we celebrate those that are still here?.’
Marley Marl defined the golden era of hip hop, There was certain grit and thickness that is somewhat lost in a lot of today’s hip hop. I therefore set a challenge to THA 4ORCE to see if he could emulate Marley’s Sound. A test of his production skills. We pressed 300 of these singles and took it NYC to Marley. You too can be part of this this project and own one of these 7′s. To purchase please go to our shop.
The very first release on King of the Beats Records. Double A side featuring the winning beats from KOTB ‘Who’s Gonna Take the Crate ?’ champions Jay King & Mack One and D’lux Beats. I felt the music produced by both crews was outstanding. KOTB had to develop in a way that talented artists who are representing the art form the way i believe it should be, should have a outlet so that people can here them. I didn’t want to go the digital download way. In Tradition of the theme of king of the beats it could only be vinyl.
This is limited edition 300 press only. There are only a few copies left. If you want to purchase please go to our shop.
