After returning from NYC filming the all new king of the beats film.  Its now time to start the editing post production process.  Ive been funding the film and this project via selling prints of my graffiti art.

Never been a fan of Nore, but he’e dropped this monster of record.  Produced by Queens Legend Large Professor from the group Main Source.   Great Track enjoy!

From the day I first heard Inteligent Hoodlum, Superkids then the  anthem ‘BLACK AND PROUD’. I instantly became a fan of him.  Like many i was so pissed that the second album did not come on vinyl.  I got that on cassette.  Compared to the rest of the juice crew he just has so much more grit to him, that says a lot as the Juice Crew was my favorite crew.

I was such a fan of his i ended up taking a trip to NYC to see Marley so i just get a copy of Arrest the President on 12.

There was a bit of a gap between Tragedy and Tragedy Khadafi as he is known now.  By that time the sound had changed slightly.  I really didn’t give Khadafi much of a chance as i more into the first 2 albums.  I loved the hard beats courtesy of Large Pro and Marley.

Now to my regret i didn’t really get the change to Khadafi. It was only when i saw this film i totally changed my opinion of this new chapter in his life.  It really is the true hip hop story.

I think i became for a moment a record nerd and forgot why i loved hip hop.  It is the message of the streets and what Tragedy is doing here and what he’s built is a news channel of the streets.  Not fairy tales or fantasy.  But real life experiences.

This is the core of what good hip hop records are made from.  From a cultural perspective this is what is needed. People need to know whats going or not going on.  As a film this is one of favorite hip hop movies.  Low budget but real honest and captures the moment.   For all those that got caught up buying nerdy collectibles.  This is great reminder of the lives behind some the great records like the Shook Ones. Funk Mode.

This a must see.  its a film that will question your own integrity.  I take my hat of too Tragedy Khadafi!

I found this on youtube today.  What a great documentary on Legendary Treacherous 3 MC, Kool Moe Dee. Remembering my time in NYC with Ultramagnetic MC back in 2000.

Treacherous 3 as Ced Gee put it too me are responsible the modern styles and the new school era, which came Ultras, Rakim, G-Raps ect.   Peep this film its a great watch.

These Handz are getting heavier and heavier. Delivering a knock out blow with this joint. Putting  suckers to sleep like Mani.  The crew are finding their feet and using them.  Dancing round like AliThey are in the 7th round and still standing.

Enjoy this, As Naz just put for all you stuck in the 90s  ____.  turn up your stereo your about to get a ear bashing.

Personally my favorite track from the group.  Reminds me back to a trip to NYC. First meeting Mikey D in Queens.  Riding in his car through the borough. Talking about the past.  I asked him to spit a rhyme.  He still got it.  I said to Mikey I’m going to make something happen.

Alongside Kevin DeCosta and K-Kut we planned to bring Mikey D over alongside the original 2 DJs from the group Main Source.  We could not get the group over for family commitments. K-KUT gave me his blessings to be the groups DJ and to use the name for that tour.

The love that Mikey was met with here in the UK. Was beyond his expectations.  Whilst on the tour I introduced him to Sparkii Ski who was the KOTB host on the tour.  The rest is history. Mikey Returned to the USA a new man.
